Privacy Policy
Who we are
Txt is published by Harcode. Contact: txt@harcode.com.
Your documents
Txt edits files you create or open through the system document browser. Files are saved where you keep them: on your device, in iCloud Drive, or in another file provider app you use (for example Dropbox). Any syncing is handled by that provider under its own privacy policy, not by Txt. We never receive a copy of your documents.
Data stored on your device
Txt stores a small number of app preferences locally on your device (using Apple's standard UserDefaults). These never leave your device.
Sharing and export
When you use Share or Export As, Txt hands the file to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next (Mail, AirDrop, Files, etc.) is your choice and governed by that destination.
Permissions
Txt does not request access to your contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone or any other protected data.
Third-party services, tracking and ads
Txt uses only Apple system frameworks. It includes no third-party SDKs, analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking, and does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because it doesn't track you.
Retention and deletion
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete. You can delete your documents at any time in the Files app, and deleting Txt removes its local preferences.
Children
Txt is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights
Under laws such as the GDPR, CCPA and Mexico's LFPDPPP you may have rights to access or delete personal data. As Txt processes no personal data on our side, no such data exists, but you can contact us with any question.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
